Qui a vu Paris et pas Cassis, n’a rien vu

He who has seen Paris but not Cassis has not seen anything.  Allegedly this is what the French poet and Nobel prize winner Frédéric Mistral said somewhere in the late 19th century.

Visiting Cassis in the summer holidays in the 21st century can be a bit daunting as the number of tourists and seaside visitors can be vast.

Still it must be said that the town itself is lovely and well worth a visit. The harbour area in specific is scenic and very photographic.

Next time I will visit Cassis in the spring time when its less crowded.
